The game

Stay out of the black

A black hole has opened in the middle of the screen. It bends the starlight around it, drags on your ship, your shots and every alien in the sector, and everything that falls in makes it bigger.

Your ship drifts like it's Asteroids: thrust, turn, dash, and space wraps around the edges. Your guns fire on their own. Your job is the flying: threading the swarm, keeping off the horizon, and picking the build, three cards every level.

Bring a boss down and the hole falls back, and space tears open into the next sector. Max a weapon with the right upgrade and it turns into something new. Every run earns salvage for upgrades that stay with you.

9weapons, from seekers and chain lightning to gravity mines and a black hole of your own
6combos: max a weapon, pair it with the right upgrade, and it turns into something new
6bosses and six sectors, each with its own sky and its own track
8ships to win, each with its own weapon and feel
∞Endless: past the last boss, torn back to the start a loop deeper, as long as you last
5depths below the rim, each harder than the last and scoring more
100on each leaderboard: the all-time best, and every day's daily run, the same ship and twist for everyone
22goals in the Hangar, each paying salvage and some winning a ship

Bosses

The Mothership

Spits out drones and rings of plasma.

The Serpent

Shoot its body apart; its head's armoured till it's alone.

The Lighthouse

Circles the hole sweeping a beam. The hole swallows its light.

The Tidelock

A dead moon circling the hole with a pull of its own. Its tides fling everything about, and crack it open.

The Murmuration

A flock with one heart: a spear that lunges, a ring that closes, a wall that sweeps. Every mote it loses wounds it.

The Twins

Bring them down together, or the fallen one rises.

What's new

Now on iPad and Mac

INFALL is on the App Store, and every update is free for everyone who has the game. The whole story's in the devlog.

  1. New

    iPad and Mac

On the App Store, one purchase for both: touch controls made for the iPad, the keyboard on the Mac, or any controller on either. Your leaderboard name can follow you between devices.

  2. New

    A polish pass

Gems that leave comet tails, a boss bar with each boss's name, more detail on every ship and sky, a Lighthouse beam that widens as it goes, and controllers that work everywhere in the menus.

  3. Update 2

    Leaderboards

A top 100 for the all-time best, and another for each day's daily run. Type a name once and your best scores go up, with no account.

  4. Update 2

    The Nursery and the Murmuration

A sixth sector, pillars of gas with stars lighting inside them, and a boss with no body: a flock with one heart that folds into a spear, a ring and a wall.

  5. Update 2

    Motes

A new alien. One on its own is harmless. Five together hunt you, faster the more there are.

  6. Update 1

    Combos

Max out a weapon with the right upgrade and it turns into something new: lightning thrown off your shield, a halo of moons that burns up enemy fire, a black hole of your own that grows as it eats.

  7. Update 1

    Four new ships

Eight in all, each starting with a different weapon and its own way to fly, each won by a goal.

  8. Update 1

    Endless

Past the last boss, you're torn back to the start a loop deeper, harder every time, for as long as you can last.

  9. Update 1

    The Eclipse and the Tidelock

A fifth sector with its own sky, music and aliens, and a dead moon of a boss. And space now tears open between sectors.

  10. Update 1

    A free demo

The first two sectors and their bosses, for Windows and Mac. What you earn in it carries over to the full game.

  11. Next
